Working in the Derbyshire Peak District I have been designing and making furniture for the past 20 years. The workshop undertakes all types of work from small items to major public commissions for city councils, art galleries and churches. We specialise in outdoor seating and have made seats for National Trust gardens, city centres and private individuals.
Although working mainly in wood we incorporate a large variety of materials within our furniture. Inspired by architectural forms the pieces are contemporary and clear in their design aiming to find solutions to practical needs, create work which is relevant to its context and setting and use materials in a sensitive and responsible way. Our work attempts to provide interesting solutions, be as flexible as possible and respond directly to the brief.
