Roy Tam
Roy is a furniture and product designer trained at John Makepeace's Hooke Park and the Royal College of Art.
For 12 years, he partnered David Colwell at Trannon Furniture to build up a renowned sustainable furniture brand.
He is also a senior lecturer in 3D Design at Plymouth University and visiting tutor at Buckinghamshire University.
Roy's designs can be found at Guinness, Wessex Water, Bristol's CREATE eco-centre, NHS and the Natural History Museum.
In addition to commissions, he also batch produces a standard range of furniture designed by himself, as well as by fellow designers.
His work has been seen at 100% Design, Chelsea Crafts Fair, Bonhams and the Smithsonian.
Roy's aim is to play a prominent part in promoting sustainable design, combining it with digital methods and to encourage the next generation of craftsmen.
