S.F.Furniture Brief History:
S.F.Furniture was set up by its two partners when they left college 27 years ago this year.
A small company of four people dedicated & skilled furniture makers & designers, whose remit is to strive for excellence.
This has been endorsed in no small way by the award of no less than 19 Guild Marks by the Worshipful Co. of Furniture Makers, London. Only 370 or so have been awarded since 1950 . Guild Marks are awarded for pieces which an inspecting Jury of no less than 3 deem to be exceptional in terms of Making quality and Design excellence. SF has also been the recipient of the Claxton Stevens Award,twice; for the finest Piece of the Year,which they and only one other Co. have ever achieved previously.
SF. has an international Client base with examples of their work in Australia, Zimbabwe, USA., Mainland Europe Britain & Ireland.. SF. Has exhibited consistently over the past 25 years in the UK Ireland and Europe
SF. Prides itself on its personal service where the person you deal with sees the whole project through from start to finish.
SF encourages client involvement from the Design stage right through to material selection, workshop visits to view progress and Development discussions for each project.
SF. Is proud of its careful selection of the finest materials, used in conjunction with innovative designs, which are both practical and aesthetically unique.
SF. makes everything at its workshop in the West Country, where it all started, and does all its own finishing on site. Fittings are often designed especially and manufactured to precise drawings by skilled engineering firms.
SF. Is only ever a phone call away, and regularly meets clients at their chosen locations.
SF. As well as ecclesiastical work, also undertakes work for public spaces, private spaces, and Corporate spaces.
